Im thining of planning a ski trip to colorado. Does anyone know the best place for beginners / intermediate? Im also looking for some type of lodge that would sleep 10 people. Never been skiinng…what are some of the other costs besides flight and room?

ive been to steamboat springs quite a few times and honestly never want to go anywhere else. they have several different lodgings avalible.

other costs to keep in mind are lift tickets which is a big one, and ski rentals, also if you have never been you might ought to look into lessons they can help a lot

in US dollars? which resort should I go to. where i can find a good deals. Looking for something similar that we’ve seen in James Bond movies.

W/O airlinen tickets : $ 2000
Go to St. Moritz, there are plenty hotels there that are James Bondish
Most money will be spent on skiis, and ski passes for lifts. Ski on the Mountain “Corviglia” or “Corvatsch”, do some more research on the hotels, because some can be very expensive.
($ 2000 for a family of 4-5, i dont know how many people are going with you)

I was a ski racer for 5 years and we started doing work outs in october to get ready for thanksgiving, but that might be a little much. I would start 2-3 weeks before and make sure to concentrate on your quads. We would do a lot of wall sits and lunges. However your core is key as well. Sit ups with concentration on your laterals (side to side sit ups) helps a lot. Also, as a ski instructor, if you are from sea level get ready for elevation. Leading up to the vacation drink more water and eat a bit more food. When you get to elevation drink tons of water and not so much alcohol.
