I am planning a ski vacation this winter and I chose the state of vermont to be my destination. I need some advice though about which resort and when in the season. I went to Magic Mountain last year in the middle of a snow storm and I thought i was in heaven. This year im not so sure i’ll be timing a snow storm so well so i may as well plan a little more.

Killington is probably the biggest in vermont, further North is Jay Peak which reportedly has the most snow and powder (because of it’s location and geography) . It is in northern vermont, almost in canada.

Im thining of planning a ski trip to colorado. Does anyone know the best place for beginners / intermediate? Im also looking for some type of lodge that would sleep 10 people. Never been skiinng…what are some of the other costs besides flight and room?

ive been to steamboat springs quite a few times and honestly never want to go anywhere else. they have several different lodgings avalible.
other costs to keep in mind are lift tickets which is a big one, and ski rentals, also if you have never been you might ought to look into lessons they can help a lot

As a foreigner tourist, I will buy either japan rail pass (nationwide coverage) or jr east pass (kanto region).
where is the most beautiful train ride in japan where the view is spectacular like that in the swiss alps of europe or the rocky mountain of the u.s.a.?

I’m a single male in my 20′s, I’m working my first real job and I have two weeks of vacation time which I’d like to use sometime during the summer. Unfortunately, all my friends are busy or are unemployed and too poor to go anywhere or do anything. I want to go someplace new and exotic, but if I do, I’ll be going alone. Where should I go and what should I do?
